“The road”

Ontem vi “The road”.

Não é um filme bonito. É um filme, duro e triste, que nos confronta, entre outras coisas, com o medo. A Humanidade no seu limite, e a quase total ausência dela. Um filme apocalítico, mas sem os efeitos sensacionais que nos fazem crer que o “fim do Mundo” será rápido, dramático e maravilhoso espectáculo… de ficção.

Pode ser apenas mais um filme sobre a morte do planeta mas… de certa forma toca em aspectos que nos fazem olhar para dentro e pensar… e ter a certeza de que nínguem estará preparado, que a luta pela sobrevivência muito facilmente transformará o Homem em animal (no sentido mais primitivo e selvagem) e que apenas mantendo o sentido de “Humanidade” dentro de nós (o fogo que nos faz Homem), trará esperança e guiará no caminho.

Numa altura em que tantos avisos/sinais estão claros, puros, duros e crus em frente dos nossos olhos, a maioria da população mundial parece continuar adormecida numa inércia egoísta. Que não é nada mais do que uma ilusão confortável.

Como é possível afirmar que em 2050 o Planeta ainda será habitável? – falo claro da ridícula conclusão do tratado de Quioto.

É importante, urgente, agir. Não falo em lutar contra. Agir é lutar a favor. É evoluir positivamente. Somos todos parte de um todo, por isso somos todos responsáveis. E todos devemos fazer a nossa parte. Activamente dentro de nós, activamente no exterior. A própria natureza não é inerte, imutável. A Natureza altera-se, evolui para compensar as próprias falhas (normalmente causas das nossas).

Bem… tería muito mais a dizer sobre isto, mas não vos quero massacrar com este assunto. E isto nada tem haver com opiniões pessoais, mas da conclusão que todos podemos tirar. A verdade está aí, basta olhar à nossa volta e para o fundo de nós próprios. E escolher. Não interessa se o fim do mundo chegará ou não, mas interessa saber, ter consciência, que o nosso destino é o que fizermos com ele.

Yesterday I saw “The Road”.
It is not a beautiful movie. It’s hard and sad. A movie that confronts us, among other things, with fear. Humanity at its limit, and the almost total absence of it. An apocalyptic movie, but without the sensational effects that make us believe that the “end of the World” will be quick, dramatic and an amazing fictional show…
It may be just another movie about planet`s death but… somehow touches on aspects that make us look inward and think… and be sure than nobody will be prepared and that the struggle to survive very easily turn the man into an animal (in the most primitive and wild sense) and that, just keeping the sense of “humanity” within us (the fire that makes us Human ), will bring hope and lead on the road.

At a time when so many warnings / signs are clear, pure, hard and raw in front of our eyes, the world’s population still seems asleep in a selfish inertia. That is nothing more than a comfortable illusion.
How can you say that in 2050 the planet will still be habitable? – I speak of course of the ridiculous conclusion of the Kyoto treaty.

It is important, urgent to act. I do not mean fight against. Action is fight for. In a positive way. Is to evolve positively. We are all part of a whole, so we are all responsible. And we all must “play our role”, to do our part of the job. Actively within us, actively in the exterior. The very nature is not inert, immutable. Nature changes, evolves to compensate the fails (usually caused by our fails).


Well … I would have more to say about this, but I dont want to bother you with this. And this has nothing to do with personal opinions, but the conclusion that we can all take. The truth is there. Just look around you and to deep of yourselves. And choose. It doesn`t matter if the end of the world will come or not, but the question arises, be aware that our destiny is what we do with it.
